My interest has focused on cancer research, especially breast cancer, and its association with risk factors related to lifestyle, including diet, nutritional status and physical activity, as well as mental and social factors. I am also interested in the evaluation of bio-markers of diet and disease risk. We have worked in studies to evaluate the relationship of the regional diet with breast cancer, as well as the role of emotions on adherence to a diet and healthy physical activity in women with the disease.
