CAMPOS SALCEDO, JOSE GADU

**Dr. José Gadú Campos Salcedo** is a Surgeon and Urologist specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, holding the rank of General Brigadier Médico Cirujano. He completed his medical degree (1992–1998) and his residency in Urology (2002–2006) at the Universidad del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea (UDEFA), where he also trained in Comprehensive Medicine and Emergencies (1998–2000).

His postgraduate training includes a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery (Universidad Anáhuac, 2009), a Master's Degree in Health Management (Universidad del Valle de México, 2014), a Doctorate in High Management (2015–2017), and a Master's Degree in National Security (Naval University, 2021–2024). In robotic surgery, he completed the basic and advanced courses of the Da Vinci Surgical System (Official Intuitive–Insimed Training Center, Bogotá, Colombia, 2014–2015), as well as international training in en-bloc resection of bladder tumors with the HybridKnife system (University of Tübingen, Germany), laser enucleation of the prostate (Asklepios Klinik, Hamburg), and fusion biopsy with navigation using the Artemis system.

He served as President of the Mexican Society of Urology (2022–2023), having previously been its Vice President (2021–2022), and presides over the certification examination jury of the Mexican National Council of Urology. He is Full Professor of the Urology residency program and of numerous courses in minimally invasive surgery, endourology, and robotic surgery taught at the Central Military Hospital and the Escuela Militar de Graduados de Sanidad.

His research focuses on uro-oncology —prostate, bladder, and renal cancer—, focal therapy, germline mutations in metastatic prostate cancer, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques, with publications on renal cell carcinoma and a mortality risk model for emphysematous pyelonephritis.
