Jocelyn Erandi Reyes Nieto is an architect, university professor, and Director of Built Environment at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Sonora Norte. She holds a PhD in Steel and Composite Construction from the University of Coimbra (summa cum laude, 2019) and is a certified D.R.O. by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Querétaro. Her expertise focuses on sustainable urban development, smart cities, architectural heritage, architectural design, and constructive processes. She has published in various indexed journals and presented at both international and national conferences. As an educator, she promotes challenge-based learning, collaborative design, and the use of AI in architecture. She uses digital tools to support architectural representation, project design, and sustainability analysis. Additionally, she developed UISA fEN, a methodology for assessing urban sustainability created during her doctoral research. Her current work combines architectural design with applied research, community participation, and interdisciplinary innovation for social transformation.
