BURCIAGA FLORES, CARLOS HORACIO

Clinical geneticist from Monterrey México. Working since 2016 in the Centro Universitario contra el Cáncer (CUCC), of the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León (UANL) as coordinator of the hereditary cancer program, in the cancer prevention clinic, giving service to patients and families with hereditary cancer syndromes, also as a Professor for medical residents of Medical Oncology and Medical Genetics. Also since 2018 working in the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) in the Hospital de Ginecología y Obstetricia #23 (HGO23), in the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of hereditary diseases in newborns, and as coordinator of the hereditary cancer program in this institution, also as a Professor for medical residents of Neonatology and Obstetrics/Gynecology. My career as researcher is focused in hereditary cancer, and the search of biomarkers for cancer and hereditary diseases, with interest in the toxicogenetics field. To the date I have published 7 articles with 116 citations. I am part of an investigation group in the CUCC, and we aim to have multiple investigation lines in the oncology field.
