MARTINEZ PRADO, MARIA ADRIANA

Industrial Chemical Engineer (1981) at the Technological Institute of Durango (ITD), Master's degree in Engineering in Environmental Pollution Control Systems (1984) at Tecnologico de Monterrey – Monterrey Campus (ITESM) and degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering (2002) at Oregon State University (OSU). She began teaching and doing administrative work in 1984 at the Orizaba Technological Institute (ITO) in the Department of Chemical Engineering (DIQ) in Bachelor's and Master's programs. Since 1988 she continues her activities at ITDurango as Coordinator in various postgraduate programs and professor at the bachelor's and master's programs at DIQ. She is currently working as a Professor – Researcher in the Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and in the Master's Science of Biochemical Engineering (MCIBQ) program and Doctorate of Sciences in Biochemical Engineering (DCIBQ). For 30 years she has been carrying out research in various areas of Environmental Engineering, Biomining, Environmental Microbiology, Environmental Biotechnology, Remediation of Contaminated Waters and Soils, Sustainability, etc. She has supervised theses of a total of 70 undergraduate students, 11 in master's, 3 in doctorate and advised 80 professional residents. She collaborates with the SAB Group of the Tec de Monterrey, the Doctorate in Environmental Sciences of the CIMAV-Durango and she is a Member of the consolidated academic group in Biotechnological Processes of the MCIBQ at the TecNM -ITD. She is a teacher with Perfil Deseable from 2006 to date. She belongs to the National System of Researchers SNI I (2019-2025). Honorary Researcher of the State System of Researchers (2021 – 2026), among others.
