HERNANDEZ ESCAMPA ABARCA, MARCO ANTONIO

Marco Hernández-Escampa is full-time Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Seville, he worked previously at the Autonomous University of Oaxaca "Benito Juárez" and the University of Guanajuato. He got a degree in Architecture by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He obtained his Master's Degree in Architectural Sciences at the University of Morelos. He has got two PhDs, one in Materials Science by the University of Morelos and the other one in Anthropology by the Centre of Humanities of Morelos. His research interests focus on heritage preservation and management, corrosion studies, urban planning, and urban tourism. He teaches on degree, master and PhD levels in the fields of architectural history, architectural heritage, urban planning, and urban sustainability. He has been invited to give lectures in Mexico, Russia, and Spain. He has been acknowledged as a member of the National Researchers System by the Mexican Research Council and as an Outstanding Professor by the Mexican Secretary of Education.
