GARCIA GUERRERO, VICTOR MANUEL

Victor Manuel Garcia Guerrero holds a PhD in Population Studies by the Center of Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies at El Colegio de Mexico. He studied Actuarial Sciences, M.Eng. in Operations Research and Advanced Econometrics at UNAM. He was Assistant Professor at FLACSO-Mexico and part-time professor at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and at the UNAM. He has been an advisor and consultant on demographic methods for the National Population Council, other consulting firms, banks and insurance companies. He was a member of the board of the Mexican Society of Demography, 2011-2013. He was Coordinator of the Master Program in Demography in the Center of Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies at El Colegio de Mexico from Januray 2014 to December 2015. His research interests include mathematical demography, population estimates, population forecasting and the related population policies.
