From the early stages of my academic journey, I found in biology an endless source of questions and motivation. I began my training with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, where I actively participated in research projects. I later earned a Master’s in Experimental Biology, strengthening my skills in molecular biology and cellular physiology. I completed a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, focusing on mitochondrial mechanisms and oxidative stress—topics that continue to guide my scientific work. Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Applied Work Sciences, University of Guanajuato, researching mitochondrial signaling in skeletal muscle of diabetic rats subjected to physical training. Alongside research, I have taught undergraduate courses in scientific writing, physiology, biostatistics, and epidemiology. I have presented at national and international conferences and contributed to peer-reviewed articles and science outreach. My path reflects a vocation for both research and teaching, with the goal of generating useful and applicable knowledge, particularly in metabolic diseases and their modulation through exercise and antioxidant strategies.
