I am a graduate biologist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where I also obtained a master's degree and a Ph.D. in science from the Biochemical Sciences program. I am interested in the molecular and virulence mechanisms used by pathogenic bacteria and in diseases that affect vulnerable groups, such as infants and women. As a researcher, my line of research focuses on the study of molecular, epigenetic mechanisms, and microbiota associated with gynecological diseases in women of reproductive age, mainly endometriosis, so that in the long term, this knowledge can contribute to the development of new techniques for the diagnosis, prognosis and/or treatment of this disease.
