BERGEZ HERNANDEZ, FERNANDO ANTONIO

Dr. Fernando Antonio Bergez Hernández completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad Politécnica de Sinaloa in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering, during his time at University he had the opportunity to do internships in some institutes such as the "Center for Research and Assistance in Technology and Design of the State of Jalisco" and also in "Center for Research in Food and Development", contributing their knowledge in different scientific research projects related to genetics and molecular biology. Later, he moved to Culiacán city, where he studied a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, where he obtained his degree with honorable mention for his thesis "Analysis of the expression of miRNA-195-5p and the gene Fra-1 in patients with and without prostate cancer", during his Master's degree he had the opportunity to attend different national and international congresses in order to share his results, such as the "XVI Latin American Congress of Genetics" held in Montevideo, Uruguay. Likewise, he made an internship in the Laboratory of Biomedicine and Molecular Biology at the Polytechnic University of Sinaloa. In 20202, he obtained his PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa with Honorable Mention, during his studies he had the opportunity to participate in different scientific research projects, publishing three scientific articles as first author. Currently, he works as a teacher in the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente.
