Dr. Terrazo-Lluch obtained his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he was selected for the distinguished Educational Quality Core program (NUCE, 1993 Cohort) and graduated with honors in 1998. He subsequently completed his postgraduate residency in Neurosurgery at the Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía "Manuel Velasco Suárez," followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP).
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. [Last Name] holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences and a Master's degree in Economics and Business. His academic background is further complemented by international clinical rotations, including training in Epilepsy Surgery at the Klinik und Poliklinik für Neurologie (Universitätsklinikum Bonn) in Germany, and in Pediatric Neurosurgery at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada.
As an active leader in the neurological community, he served as President of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Section of the Mexican Society of Neurological Surgery for the 2022–2023 tenure. His research contributions include numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the field of pediatric neurosurgery, with primary research interests encompassing epilepsy surgery, central nervous system tumors, and neuroendoscopy.
Currently, Dr. Terrazo-Lluch serves as Chief of the Neurosurgery Department at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría and functions as the Neurosurgery Coordinator at the ABC Medical Center, where he is also an active member of the Epilepsy Clinic. Devoted to medical education and scientific advancement, he is an Associate Professor for the Advanced Specialty Course in Pediatric Neurosurgery (UNAM-CONAHCYT), an appointed Researcher for the Institutional System of Medical Sciences Researchers of the Ministry of Health in Mexico, and a Candidate for the National System of Researchers (SNI).
