My research is focused on the characterization of genomic alterations in human tumors. My group is currently working on the analysis of Breast cancer and we are using several types of microarrays to analyze DNA copy number changes, gene and microRNA expression and polymorphisms in drug metabolizing genes. We are also collaborating with different institutions in the generation of a catalog of somatic alterations through next generation sequencing of whole genomes and exomes in these tumors.
