Juan Pablo Gutierrez is Professor on Evaluation at the Center for Policy, Population & Health Research, School of Medicine, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and Chair of the Technical Committee of the Morelos´ Commission on Evaluation of Social Development. He holds a BSc on Nutrition (UAM-Xochimilco), a MSc on Health Economics (CIDE) and a PhD on Public Health & Policy by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His research interest is related to the comprehensive evaluation of social programs and policies, universal health coverage & effective access, and the analysis of risk behaviors among adolescents. On these areas he is also interested in the analysis of heterogeneities related to social inequalities. He has been responsible for several population based health surveys both in households and facilities. He has authored or co-authored more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
