With a PhD in Molecular Biomedicine and a membership in the National System of Researchers (SNII Level 1), I have a distinguished career in translational cancer research. I specialize in biomarker identification, cancer therapy design, and the study of the tumor microenvironment (extracellular vesicles/oncossomes) in high-incidence neoplasms such as pancreatic, colorectal, breast, lung, and cervical cancer. I have experience in drug development, from in silico design (molecular modeling) and in vitro validation (2D/3D and primary cultures) to preclinical evaluation in xenograft models (subcutaneous, orthotopic, and PDX), including toxicity and genotoxicity studies. Currently, I head the Sequencing Unit in the Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology at Cinvestav, where I am proficient in cutting-edge technologies in genomics and molecular diagnostics. I have a comprehensive profile that combines senior academic management —coordinating programs and teaching at the postgraduate level— with intellectual property management (national and international patents) and a results-oriented strategic vision, strengthened by previous experience in the commercial and public sector with specialized attention.
