(Fellow IEEE) received his degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2006 from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, Mexico, at the Institute of Basic Sciences and Engineering. He earned his Master's degree in Science with a specialization in Control and Automation in 2009 from the Center for Research in Information Technologies and Systems. In 2022, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of the South. His research areas include machine learning, brain-computer interfaces, user experience, emotion and cognitive state studies, and affective computing.
