He obtained his B.S. degree in computer systems from the Acapulco Institute of Technology (ITA-TecNM), Mexico, in 1992, his M.S. degree in computer science from the CENIDET Mexico, in 1995, and his PhD degree in computer science at the Computing Research Center, National Polytechnic Institute (CIC-IPN), Mexico in 2006. He is a member of the National Researchers System (SNI) Level 2. He works at TecNM/CENIDET Computer Science Department as a researcher and professor. His research field is focused on Human-Computer Interaction, affective computing, sentiment analysis, and User Experience Evaluation. He also supervises master's and PhD theses in the same field.
