Dr. José Roberto González Reyes is a researcher at the Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the State of Hidalgo, where he promotes scientific entrepreneurship. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences, an M.Sc. in Bioprocesses, and a degree in Biotechnology Engineering, along with postdoctoral training in bioprocess scale-up and certification in urban governance.
He has taught at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervised theses, and held leadership roles in education and sustainability, collaborating with governments and civil organizations.His research focuses on biodegradation, biosurfactants, environmental monitoring, and public health, with publications and participation in scientific events across Latin America.
He specializes in institutional collaboration, data analysis, and multidisciplinary project management, applying GIS tools to design programs that promote social well-being and sustainable development.
The entirety of his scientific contributions is focused on three strategic research lines:
1) Models for food improvement and sustainable utilization, aimed at strengthening food security.
2) Sustainable bioprocesses for waste valorization and the removal of soil and water contaminants, through the development and optimization of biological technologies for environmental protection.
3) Integrated systems for environmental monitoring and territorial decision-making, based on the integration of sensing technologies, data analysis, and decision-support tools for territorial managemen
