Ph.D. Citlalli J. Trujillo-Romero was born in Mexico City in 1983. She received the Engineer in Bionic degree from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in 2006, the Ph.D. degree, with the specialty in bioelectronics, from the CINVESTAV-IPN in 2012. Dr. Trujillo worked as a post doctor at the hyperthermia unit of the oncological radiation department at the Erasmus-MC Daniel den Hoed in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 2012-2014. She worked as a full-time professor at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in 2015. Currently, Dr. Trujillo works as a researcher in medical sciences at the National Instituto of Rehabilitation in Mexico City. She is a part time professor at the ITESM since 2015. Her main field of study is the use of electromagnetic fields and microwaves to generate thermal therapies to treat tumors by hyperthermia and thermal ablation, as well as the development of biological models by the finite element method.
