ROMERO TRONCOSO, RENE DE JESUS

Rene de Jesus Romero-Troncoso received the Ph.D. degree in mechatronics from the Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico. He is a National Researcher level 3 with the National Council of Science and Technology CONACyT, Mexico. He is currently a Full Professor with the Autonomous University of Queretaro. He has been an adviser for more than 200 theses, an author of two books on digital systems (in Spanish), and a coauthor of more than 170 technical papers published in international journals and conferences. His fields of interest include hardware signal processing for monitoring and diagnosis of dynamic systems.
Dr. Romero-Troncoso was a recipient of the 2004 Asociación Mexicana de Directivos de la Investigación Aplicada y el Desarrollo Tecnológico Nacional Award on Innovation for his work in applied mechatronics and the 2005 IEEE ReConFig’05 Award for his work in digital systems. Since 2012 he is Senior Member of the IEEE. He is Fellow of the Mexican Academy of Engineering and National Researcher level 3 with CONACYT, Mexico.
