Luis Enrique Ramos-Velasco was born in Calvillo, Aguascalientes, Mexico. He received the B.S. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 1993 from ESIME-IPN, Zacatenco, Mexico and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996 from the CINVESTAV-IPN, Zacatenco Mexico. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Control Engineering and Robotics at the Faculty in electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Prague, Czech Republic in 2002, where he was advised by Professors Vladimír Kučera and Sergej Celikovský. His last researcher work was at the Center for Research on Information Technology and Systems of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, Mexico. Currently works at the Metropolitan Polytechnic University of Hidalgo in the aeronautical engineering program and postgraduate in aerospace engineering. His research is focusing in: analysis and synthesis of control schemes for underactuated systems, intelligent control, robot control, man-robot interfaces, holonic manufacturing systems.
