ORTEGA AVILA, NAGHELLI

Master's in Solar Energy and Doctor's in Energy Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, with a postdoctoral stay at the Center for Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences of the Autonomous University of Morelos. I am currently a Researcher at Mexico-Secihti, attached to the Center for Research in Advanced Materials in Durango.
My research includes the application of solar heat in industrial processes, the design, modeling, evaluation, and simulation of solar thermal devices for low- and medium-temperature applications, and solar cooling.
From 2014 to 2017, I was responsible for quality assurance in the Solar Heating Equipment Testing Laboratory at the Institute of Renewable Energies, UNAM, Mexico.
I am a member of two Solar Heat Initiative Working Groups within the "Large-Scale Solar Energy in Mexico" Program. In addition, I co-authored the "Guide for the verification of solar heating systems for industrial processes (SHIP)," developed within this program.
I participate in Task 64, "Solar Process Heat," and in Task 66, "Solar Energy Buildings" of the Solar Heating & Cooling Program – International Energy Agency, in addition to the Solar Payback initiative and the CALIDENA México – Solar Thermal working group.
Finally, since 2021 I am President of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Solar Energy NESO-13 in Mexico.
