Since 2013, I'm Full Professor at Universidad Panamericana (Mexico). I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Digital Signal Processing) from UNAM (Mexico), and currently, I'm a member of the National System of Researcher (SNI 1) of CONACYT.

I perform research in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Image Processing. My main research interests focus on developing new bio-inspired models applied to motion analysis, motion magnification, perceptual-based watermarking, and vision-based methods applied to robotics autonomous navigation and remote sensing of vital signs.
