MENDEZ RAMIREZ, RODRIGO DANIEL

Rodrigo Méndez-Ramírez was born in Santiago, Chile. He earned a B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM), Santiago, Chile, in 2003, followed by an M.Sc. Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) in 2012.
From 2013 to 2018, he pursued a Ph.D. in Instrumentation and Control at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department of the Scientific Research and Advanced Studies Center of Ensenada (CICESE), Mexico.From 2001 to 2005, he worked as a teacher of Electronic Engineering, specializing in telecommunications, microprocessors, electronics, and digital systems at the UTEM University.
Between 2006 and 2013, he worked at Samsung Electronics Chile Ltda., starting as an Audio and Video Engineer and later promoted to Assistant Manager in the Customer Service Department.
In 2018, he joined Synaptics Incorporated/BCM Services as an Audio Engineer in the IoT Smart Headset team, leading projects in active noise cancellation (ANC) and headset configuration, operating from Mexico and supporting project in USA and China teams. Since 2022, he has been working at Paradigm Electronics Inc. as an Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer. In 2025, he was promoted to Senior DSP Developer at the Paradigm Advanced Research Center (PARC) in Ottawa, Canada.
Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), CONAHCYT, Mexico, recognized as an SNI Level 1 in 2023. His main research interests include control and digital design, DSP, complex systems, and the research and development of digital audio and video applications in embedded systems.
