Chemist from the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, Masterof Science in Sustainability of Natural Resources and Energy, and PhD in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, both postgraduate degrees from Cinvestav. She completed a short postdoctoral stay at the same institution and two years of postdoctoral research at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. Currently working as a postdoctoral scientist at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlín für Materialien und Energie in Berlin, Germany in the development of several projects for advanced characterization and synchrotron techniques. Her professional experience includes administrative, teaching and research areas. She has done three
international research stays, during her master's degree at the University of North Texas, in Denton Texas, during her doctorate at the Université de Poitiers, in Poitiers France, and during the postdoctoral research in the Dipartimento di Ingegneria "Enzo Ferrari" at Universidad de Modena y Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), Modena, Italy.
The lines of research in which she works include: the development of ceramic nanomaterials through synthesis with a sustainable approach; application and development of surface coating processes for electrodes with application in water, soil and air remediation, and electrochemical characterization and evaluation for the determination of reaction mechanisms.
She is currently working on projects focused on the development of nanomaterials as
electrocatalysts thin films or nanoparticles powders related to sustainable power generation and semiconductor materials and their advanced characterization operando by synchrotron techniques such as XAS, XANES, EXAFS, etc.
The scientific productivity includes 24 scientific articles published in indexed journals, 11 as main author, 13 in collaboration in parallel projects, 3 book chapters published and 2 in process of revision. She has participated in 7 conferences and 16 poster presentations in national and international congresses. In addition to 2 international conferences and 4 national conferences in scientific divulgation. She is a referee for Elsevier, SpringerNature and MDPI scientific journals.
She is currently co-directing 2 master's theses. Her teaching experience for 7 years covers the subjects of: chemistry, biology, physics, and applied mathematics at all levels from elementary to undergraduate.
She obtained the 1st place in poster contest at master level awarded by the Mexican Society of Hydrogen in 2014, and 2nd place as best undergraduate thesis by the Mexican Society of electrochemistry in 2015. She obtained the 4th place in the list of preemption of Professional Teaching Service of high school at the state level in the subject of chemistry in the 2017-2018 cycle. She is part of the 2nd generation of metees in the mentoring program for women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) granted by the British Council in 2022. Current member of the Mexican Society of Electrochemistry and is recognized by the National System of Researchers with the distinction of national researcher candidate (2023-2026).
