Dr. Hernández-Rojas has a strong research interest in computational intelligence models applied to neuroscience, neuroimaging, and pain science. He is an experienced researcher with expertise in machine learning, focused on developing predictive models to improve pain assessment and inform therapeutic strategies. He also has extensive experience applying machine learning techniques to create biomedical solutions for individuals with reduced mobility and communication impairments. His work spans multiple areas of biomedical engineering, including signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, computer vision, and their applications in pain research, motor rehabilitation therapies, and medical imaging tools.
