DORANTES MENDEZ, GUADALUPE

I am a Full Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Science of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi. I am member of the Postgraduate Program of Electronic Engineering and the Postgraduate Program of Sciences of life of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi. I was graduated from Bachelor and Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico), and I received the Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, with the development of the project “Dynamic cardiovascular control of blood pressure and heart rate in response to variations in central volume and anesthesia”. I am a National Researcher level I at the National Research System (México SNI), and I am the leader of the Academic group of "Biomedical Engineering" at the UASLP.

My research interests are mainly related to the processing of biomedical signals, physiological interactions, multivariate processing techniques, artificial intelligence and biomedical instrumentation. I am author of 78 publications in indexed journals, national and international conferences and I have been thesis advisor to 11 master students, 3 Ph.D. students and 16 undergraduate students.
