CUEVAS JIMENEZ, ERIK VALDEMAR

Erik Cuevas received the B.S. degree with distinction in Electronics and
Communications Engineering from the
University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 1995, the
M.Sc. degree in Industrial Electronics from
ITESO, Mexico in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree
from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany in 2005.
From 2001 he was awarded a scholarship from
the German Service for Academic Interchange
(DAAD) as fulltime researcher. Since 2007 he
has been with University of Guadalajara, where
he is currently a fulltime Professor in the
Department of Electronics. From 2008, he is a member of the Mexican
National Research System (SNI). His current research interest includes
computer vision and artificial intelligence.
