He holds a Ph.D. of Science in Microelectronics from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo in Brazil, where he worked with the design and manufacture of electro-optical devices. He has the degree of Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the CINVESTAV of the IPN where he worked with conduction mechanisms in ultrathin dielectrics, and the degree of Engineer in Communications and Electronics from the ESIME of the IPN obtained for a work on the characterization of hydrogenated amorphous silicon pin photodiodes .

Since 2011 he is a research professor at the Computing Research Center (CIC) of the National Polytechnic Institute in the Laboratory of Microtechnology and Embedded Systems (MICROSE). His research lines are related to the design of integrated circuits, as well as the design and simulation of microdevices and Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) for their implementation as sensors and actuators.

Likewise, he directs theses at the Engineering, Master's and Doctoral levels in these lines of research. He belongs to the CONAHCYT National System of Researchers, currently having level 1.
