The scientific trajectory begins in 1995 with the integration to a research project entitled “Dictionary of Mexican Writers” of the Institute of Philological Research of the UNAM, and continuing with the defense of the thesis entitled "The look in the narrative of Inés Arredondo" in 1999. She obtains a CONACYT scholarship to study for a master's degree in Mexican Literature at the Linguistic-Literary Research Institute (IIL-L) of the Universidad Veracruzana (2001) and defends the thesis "Otherness as an erotic constant in the appearance of the artwork. A reading of the novel De anima by Juan García Ponce”, for which she received an honorable mention. In 2007 she completed his doctoral studies in History and Regional Studies at the Universidad Veracruzana (UV), with the support of a CONACYT Scholarship, for which she defended the thesis entitled "Chronicle and history. Theatrical performances of the central region of Veracruz. 1868 -1910", for which she obtains an honorable mention. In that same year she is distinguished as a State Researcher of the Veracruz Council of Science and Technology, and a year later, in the period 2008 to 2010, she is a candidate for national researcher of the CONACYT National System of Researchers. In 2010, she completed a Post-Doctorate in Letters at the Institute of Philological Research of the UNAM, with the research project “The Chronicle of Amado Nervo (1892-1905) Paradoxes of Porfirian Modernity”.

As of 2011, she was distinguished as a Level I researcher of the National System of Researchers CONACYT, a fact that is repeated in the periods 2014-2017, 2018-2021 and 2022-2025. In 2014 she takes the coordination of the Master's in Mexican Literature and the Doctorate in Hispano-American Literature at the UV. She has been a synthesis assistant for print and visual media in the Directorate of Information and Dissemination of the Ministry of Education and Culture, in Veracruz (between 1995 and 1997); press coordinator of Los Lagos Cultural Center, of the Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura (1997-1999); editor of the Press Department of the UV (1999-2000), as well as a reporter and commentator on Radio UV, Voz Universitaria Newscast (1998-2000); from 2000 to 2002 she was an editor and proofreader in the Writing Department of the UV; in 2002, coordinator of artistic and cultural events at the International University Book Fair of the same university; Titular academic technician "B" at the IIL-L of the same university (2002-2008), and from 2008 to date, full-time tenured researcher "C" at the same institute.

She currently participates in research groups on problems of theory and literary criticism of the aforementioned institute, and short novels in Mexico, of the UNAM Research Group. Thus, she has been part of the Theoretical-Literary Research Network (RITELI) made up of the UV, the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, the Universidad de Sonora and the University of Arizona (2010-2013), and of the inter-institutional network and group of multidisciplinary research "Amado Nervo: Readings of a work in time" of the UNAM. She has a current individual research project entitled "War and its representations in the Latin American short novel" (IIL-L UV, 2019-2024), and has had as projects "Another look at identity. Contemporary Mexican writers” (2012-2018) and “The representations of splendor” (2010-2011), both in the same institution.
