MORANDIN AHUERMA, FABIO

An academic and researcher specializing in the intersection of philosophy, neuroethics, and artificial intelligence, he is currently a Level 1 National Researcher with the National System of Researchers (SNII-SECIHTI) and holds the PRODEP Desirable Profile recognition (SEP), valid until 2028. He earned his PhD (cum laude) in Philosophy from the Universidad Veracruzana, where he also completed his undergraduate studies. He furthered his education with a Master's degree in Diplomatic Studies from the Matías Romero Institute (SRE). In 2016, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Philosophical Research in Buenos Aires (CIF), collaborating on the Ethics and Society subproject of the Human Brain Project. Since 2017, he has served as a tenured Full-Time Professor-Researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), attached to the Northeastern Regional Complex, where he teaches Research Methodology. He leads the BUAP-CA-354 Academic Group (Transdisciplinary Regional Studies), which is currently carrying out the outreach project "SECIHTI 2025/628 Territories of the Word: Reconstruction of Identity Knowledge in the Indigenous Narratives of Four Communities in the Sierra Nororiental of the State of Puebla." His commitment to training new scientists is reflected in his advising of 47 undergraduate and graduate theses. With a body of work exceeding 70 academic publications, including articles, books, and book chapters, his work has been published in indexed (Q1 Scopus) and peer-reviewed journals. Among his works, the trilogy published by CONCYTEP stands out: Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges for Education (2024); Normative Principles for an Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (2023); Neuroeducation as an Epistemological Tool (2022). He is Chief Editor for Mexico of the Multidisciplinary Journal of Basic Science, Humanities, Art, and Education and a Springer-Nature reviewer for the journal AI and Ethics, as well as for various Taylor & Francis journals and SciELO. He has been a visiting professor at several universities in Mexico and abroad. Recipient of the Art, Science, Light Award.

Académico e investigador especializado en la intersección de la filosofía, la neuroética y la inteligencia artificial. Actualmente, es Investigador Nacional Nivel 1 por el Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII-SECIHTI) y cuenta con el reconocimiento de Perfil Deseable PRODEP (SEP) vigente hasta 2028. Es Doctor (cum laude) en Filosofía por la Universidad Veracruzana, institución donde también realizó su licenciatura. Complementó su formación con una Maestría en Estudios Diplomáticos por el Instituto “Matías Romero” (SRE). En 2016, realizó una estancia postdoctoral en el Centro de Investigaciones Filosóficas de Buenos Aires (CIF), colaborando en el subproyecto de Ética y Sociedad del Human Brain Project. Desde 2017, se desempeña como Profesor-Investigador de Tiempo Completo Definitivo en la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), adscrito al Complejo Regional Nororiental en donde imparte la cátedra de Metodología de la Investigación. Es líder del Cuerpo Académico BUAP-CA-354 (Estudios Regionales Transdisciplinarios) quienes realizan actualmente el proyecto de divulgación «SECIHTI 2025/628 Territorios de la palabra: reconstrucción de los saberes identitarios en la narrativa originaria de cuatro comunidades de la Sierra Nororiental del Estado de Puebla». Su compromiso con la formación de nuevos cuadros científicos se refleja en la asesoría de 47 tesis de licenciatura y posgrado. Con una producción que supera los 70 productos académicos entre artículos, libros y capítulos, su obra ha sido publicada en revistas indexadas (Q1 Scopus) y arbitradas. Entre sus obras destaca la trilogía editada por el CONCYTEP: Inteligencia artificial: oportunidades y retos para la educación (2024); Principios normativos para una ética de la Inteligencia Artificial (2023); Neuroeducación como herramienta epistemológica (2022). Es Chief Editor para México de la Revista Multidisciplinaria de Ciencia Básica, Humanidades, Arte y Educación y, revisor Springer-Nature de la Revista AI and Ethics así como de diversas revistas Taylor & Francis, así como Scielo. Ha sido profesor invitado en diversas universidades de México y del extranjero. Premio Arte, Ciencia, Luz.
