I have a PhD in sociocultural anthropology (University of Kansas, 2004). Since 2005 I have been a professor at the University of Colima, School of Pedagogy, where I am a member of the research group, “Historical and gender studies in education” and cultivates two research areas: 1) Education and gender; 2) Comparative education and history of education. My main research interests are on gender, migration, education, interculturality and inclusion. My latest publications are: “The Philosophy of Education of bell hooks”, in In the Footsteps of Antigone.
