Conservator, lecturer and researcher at the Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía (ENCRyM-INAH), Mexico. I hold a BA in Conservation-Restoration, an MSc in Forensic Conservation/Heritage Science from the University of Lincoln, and a PhD in Ancient World Studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2021).
I focus on the study and conservation of cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on metallic heritage, on the assessment of materials and conservation treatments, on cleaning chemistry, and on teaching. I have a strong interest in epistemology and methodology, as I am convinced that conservation is, and must be practiced as, a science.
From 2022 to 2025, I served as Secretary of Organization of SINAR (Sindicato Nacional de Restauradores del INAH), before returning to full-time research and teaching.
I have had the honor of receiving four INAH Paul Coremans National Awards for the conservation of cultural heritage, as well as an honorable mention for the same award.
