Carlos Vega-Ortiz is a geoscientist and process engineer focused on critical minerals, reservoir characterization, and machine-learning applications in geoscience and energy systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Utah, and a B.S. in Physics Engineering from ITESM, Mexico. His work spans CCS feasibility studies, subsurface characterization, flow modeling, DOE-funded research, and selective metal recovery technologies.
