I obtained my bachelor's degree in physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and my PhD in physics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. I held a position as a postdoctoral fellow for three years at the European Laboratory for Nonlinear Spectroscopy (LENS) and at the National Institute of Optics of the National Research Council (INO-CNR), at the University of Florence, Italy.

I am currently a researcher at the Institute of Physics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where I am responsible for the Ultracold Matter Laboratory. In this laboratory, we are able to create ultracold Fermi gases composed by a spin-mixture of atoms of 6Li. This system presents a broad Feshbach resonance that makes possible to control de interatomic interactions by means of an external magnetic field. This allows the creation of different atomic pairs, from tightly bound molecules to loosely coupled Copper pairs, giving rise to different superfluid regimes throughout the BEC-BCS crossover.

At present, we are interested in studying collective excitations in these systems and currently we are conducting a research on the formation of Faraday waves in strongly interacting superfluids.
