ROJAS HERNANDEZ, ARMANDO GREGORIO

I am professor of Electronics in the Physics research department at the Universidad de Sonora (UNISON). I am graduated in Electronics from The Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP) in 1996. And received the master’s in (2000) and PhD (2006) degrees with Optical specialist under the guidance of Francisco Renero, working on the micromirror designs and characterization. I am post-doctoral fellow (2006-2008) in the Centro de Componentes Semicondutores (CCS) under the supervision of Jacobus W. Swart at the Campinas University, Brazil, focusing on the design of the Ultrafast Power Diode with Epitaxial Wafer, a Technological Project.
I realized a sabbatical stance at Texas University in Dallas in 2019, working on a structure of MESFET with ZnO.
My research interests are around synthesis and characterization of thin films by CBD, devices with new materials and MEMS. Currently, I expanded my research to Spectroscopy to study deep levels in different materials.
At Present, I has authored more than ten scientific publications. Prof Rojas has organized and served as Chair (2010-2011), Vice-Chair (2012) of the Semana de la Ingenieria en Tecnologia Electronica (SITE) at the UNISON.
