PERERA BURGOS, JORGE ADRIAN

Physical Engineer from the Autonomous University of Yucatán (2006), with a Master's Degree (2007) and a Doctorate (2011) in Applied Physics from the CINVESTAV Unidad Mérida. He completed a postdoctoral degree at the Mexican Petroleum Institute (2011-2013) and a postdoctoral degree at the Science and Engineering Division of the University of Guanajuato, León Campus (2014-2015). Later, he worked as a full-time professor in the Petroleum Engineering program at the Autonomous University of Carmen. In March 2017, he joined the "Investigadoras e Investigadores por México" CONAHCYT program, at the Scientific Research Center of Yucatán (CICY) A.C., where he carried out research in the area of ​​water security. Since October 2022, he has been commissioned to the Department of Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, and Geology of the University of Guanajuato. His main scientific interest focuses on the characterization of aquifers using hydrogeophysical methods, groundwater modeling, as well as the development of analytical and numerical models of the transport of fluids and contaminants in heterogeneous porous media.
