Our lab's research currently focuses on coastal hydrodynamics and applied meteorology, with a special interest in (wind and marine) renewable energy. We welcome undergraduate students looking for summer placements, as well as postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows or visiting scholars -- preferably self-funded. We work with well established regional and CFD codes, and develop many of our data analysis and visualization tools. We also work with in-situ and remote sensing data, which we use mostly for numerical model validations, but also to help us develop physical insights on oceanographic or meteorological driving mechanisms at different scales, and the responses of the environment to them. If you are interested in collaborating with us please send us an email to discuss current opportunities, as websites do not get updated as often as they should.

Current projects:
Tidal energy characterization in the Gulf of California.
Micro-mesoscale atmospheric models for wind energy applications.
Outreach activities for the Mexican Geophysical Union (visit ugm.org.mx and raugm.org.mx for further details).
Coastal and Atmospheric Modelling and Data Analysis at Multiple Scales.
