LOPEZ AVILA, LUIS FELIPE

Dr. Luis Felipe López Ávila is a specialist in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI, with a strong background that combines advanced scientific research and applied industrial innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Optics and has more than ten years of experience in data science, including over seven years focused on machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, particularly in invariant representations and biomedical image analysis.

He currently serves as Innovation Associate Manager at Accenture, where he leads multicultural technical teams across Mexico, the United States, and India. In this role, he designs and delivers end-to-end Generative AI solutions for enterprise clients in the energy sector, spanning ideation, architecture, development, deployment, and adoption. His work includes the application of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent agents to create scalable, business-aligned AI solutions.

In parallel, Dr. López Ávila is a postdoctoral researcher at CICESE, conducting research on fractional integral transforms and invariant feature embeddings for image classification and object detection. He also serves as a university lecturer at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), teaching Cloud Computing and Innovative Application Development.

He is the author of multiple publications in indexed international journals and a frequent speaker at academic and innovation forums. In recognition of his scientific contributions, he is a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII) as a Candidate for the 2024–2027 period, reflecting his ongoing impact in research, education, and technological innovation.
