Aldo Ledesma-Durán studied Physics in the Faculty of Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México(UNAM), the master degree in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Sciences in the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), and has his Ph. D. in the Program of Science and Engineering of Materials at the UNAM. As a teacher, he has taught mathematics in high schools at UNAM and in private institutions, and at the undergraduate level, he has been an assistant and professor on the college careers of Physics and Earth Sciences. His research has focused on transport equations involving diffusion, reaction, adsorption on porous media and biological systems. Recently he study dynamical systems near the Turing and Hopf bifurcation. In the field of divulgation he has given several seminars and participated in national and international congresses.
