I did my PhD in Mathematics under the supervision of Peter Littelmann at the University of Cologne. In my thesis I studied toric degenerations of Grassmannians and flag varieties combining results and techniques from representation theory, cluster algebras and tropical geometry. After a short Post Doc stay in Bernd Sturmfels' group at the MPI MiS in Leipzig, I was dgapa Post Doc at the UNAM mathematics institute in Oaxaca. Currently, I have a tenure track position at the same institute. In my recent research projects I focus on the interactions of cluster algebras and varieties with mirror symmetry and Groebner theory.
