Short Bio:
Edgar Alejandro Ruvalcaba-Gomez is a Research Professor at the Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG), at the Centro de Ciencias Económico Administrativas (Center for Economic and Administrative Sciences), with affiliation to the Instituto de Investigación en Políticas Públicas y Gobierno (Research Institute in Public Policies and Government). PhD in Law, Government and Public Policies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy, another Master's Degree in Public Management in Virtual Environments and a Law Degree by UDG, Mexico.
Edgar conducts research related to Open Government, Transparency, Citizen Participation, Open Data, Digital Government, Artificial Intelligence and Public Innovation. He has been a visiting researcher at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and at the Center for Technology in Government (CTG) at the University of Albany, New York, USA. He has been a researcher for the Open Government Partnership in the program of subnational governments, and researcher at the Ibero-American Government Laboratory NovaGob.Lab. Currently Coordinator of the Open Government Academic Network in Mexico, and SNI member.

Edgar Alejandro Ruvalcaba Gómez es Profesor Investigador en la Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG), en el Centro de Ciencias Económico Administrativas (CUCEA), adscrito al Instituto de Investigación en Políticas Públicas y Gobierno (IIPPG). Doctor en Derecho, Gobierno y Políticas Públicas por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), España. Posee un Maestría en Política Pública, otra Maestría en Gestión Pública en Ambientes Virtuales y es Licenciado en Derecho por la UDG, México.
Edgar realiza investigación relacionada con Gobierno Abierto, Transparencia, Participación Ciudadana, Datos Abiertos, Gobierno Digital, Inteligencia Artificial e Innovación Pública. Ha sido investigador visitante en el Trinity College de Dublín, Irlanda, y en el Centro de Tecnología en el Gobierno (CTG) de la Universidad de Albany, Nueva York, EE. UU. Edgar ha sido colaborador del Laboratorio Iberoamericano de Gobierno NovaGob.Lab, e investigador para la Alianza de Gobierno Abierto (Open Government Partnership) en el programa de gobiernos subnacionales. Actualmente Coordinador de la Red Académica de Gobierno Abierto (RAGA) en México, y miembro del SNI.
