GONZALEZ ARELLANO, SALOMON

Salomón González-Arellano (Mexico, 1967) is an architect with a PhD in land use planning from Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He is currently a research professor in the Department of Social Sciences at UAM Unidad Cuajimalpa in Mexico City. He is a founding member of the Laboratorio de Análisis Socioterritorial and a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores since 2006. Salomón has been a master's and doctoral thesis advisor on issues of segregation, urban form, public space, mobility, urban food systems and recently on space time urban analysis and anticipatory urban systems. His research addresses topics such as urban morphology, segregation, accessibility and mobility. He is also a specialist in spatio-temporal representation and analysis, especially in relation to the differentiation of urban space in Mexico, and methods for decision making from the perspective of Territorial Intelligence. He is coordinator of the Urban Form Studies Network, (Red de Estudios de Forma Urbana (REFU) and researcher of the International Consortium of Hungry Cities. Salomon is co-founder of the International Research Network "Villes du Futur" funded by CNRS-France (2020-2029) and coordinator of the research project "Cities in Transition" funded by CONACYT 2020-202, cofounder of UNESCO Chair about Anticipation and Urban ways of life.
