GARCIA ANDRES, ADELAIDO

Adelaido García-Andrés is an Associate Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), assigned to the School of Social Work and Human Development. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. His research interests include labor economics, family economics, social mobility, and applied micro-econometrics. He has collaborated on research projects and provided consulting services for organizations such as UNICEF, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Bank, CONAHCyT, the Centro de Estudios Espinosa Yglesias, the Instituto Belisario Domínguez del Senado de la República, the Rio Grande Valley Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research, Consejo Nuevo León, and Fundación UANL. In 2022, he was awarded the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (S-I-R) grant by the Fulbright Program for a research stay at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He has been a member of the Mexican Society of Demography since 2019 and is recognized as a Mexican National Researcher Level 1.
