I received primary, secondary and tertiary education in public institutions in Uruguay which until the end of the 70s were the pride of the country. Married for 35 years and father of 3 daughters.
I completed my Ph.D. at IMPA under the direction of Aloísio Araújo.
Having met Jose Luis Massera and shared some (not always easy) years of my life with him is my greatest pride.
In addition to works in General Equilibrium Theory and Game Theory, I am a passionate reader of Borges and Faulkener.
I currently work at the UASLP School of Economics in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Among my greatest achievements: having founded a postgraduate degree in Mathematical Economics. I am the president of the Latin American Association of Economic Theory (ALTE), an organization that, among other things annually organizes the (Latin American Conference on Economic Theory) JOLATE in different countries of Latin America.
