NORZAGARAY CAMPOS, MARIANO

Graduated from National Polytechnic Institute in the career of Geophysical Engineer in the Higher School of Engineering and Architecture/Earth Sciences Unit. Maestry in Cience in Applied Geophysics from CICESE, research center SEP- CONACyT and Doctor in Cience in Marine Sciences by CINVESTAV-IPN/Merida Unit. Currently is investigator Professor titular "C" in Politechnic National Institute and responsible for the Environmental Engineering Laboratory of CIIDIR -IPN /Sinaloa Unit. In this laboratory, in last six years support is provided to society for the solution of problems related to the multiple needs in face to deficit of water and soil resources . CIIDIR-Unidad-Sinaloa, are promotes research activities and fields works for contribute to satisfying demands that reduce the effects of many extreme weather phenomena of recent decades. Since its foundation, CIIDIR in conjunction with the users of the soil and water, applied and basic research are done in the Environmental Engineering laboratory and a number of consultancies are provided for exploration and exploitation works also were done. Other conjunction was with the Municipal Boards for the management of humans use and consumption of state municipalities in Sinaloa state, due requirements of solution problems of deficit hydric that produce the inhabitants of rural communities and farmers in areas with irrigated and seasonal agriculture, solutions have been given to multiple problems related to water supply for human consumption, soil quality and the availability of both natural resources for holistic and traditional agriculture.
One of the recent works of social support is carried out from 2022 in marginalized populations of the Sierra Madre Occidental due to the annual water deficit that increases year by year and devastated the region with the migration and abandonment of the territory of its inhabitants; to those who with water were returned the guarantees of development to the region. In view of the new environmental conditions, research is carried out related to Hydroclimatology and Hydrogeochemistry, and in energy matters; methodologies are developed that for measure the geothermal potential, same that were applied in the detection of deposits with potential to be exploited in the North of the State of Sinaloa On present is director of a project for to design and useful a tool in the exploration of lithium at different depths of soil and located in brines that have been located packed in clay with potential for the presence of this metal. 35 articles have been written in refereed and indexed journals, 20 licenciature level students, 15 master's students and 2 doctoral students have graduated.
