MARTINEZ TRINIDAD, TOMAS

Tomás Martínez-Trinidad received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry at the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (México), a Master of Science degree in Silviculture at the Colegio de Postgraduados (México), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Arboriculture at Texas A&M University (U.S.A). While at the Colegio de Postgraduados, his research focused on the area of arboriculture and urban forestry. He has written several research articles related to urban trees, in addition to giving presentations at scientific events and training courses. Currently, he is a research professor at the Forestry Program at the Colegio de Postgraduados in Mexico. He is an ISA certified arborist, member of the Mexican Arboriculture Association and honorary member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). He has been vice president and member of the ISA Hispanic Committee. He participated as an advisor to the urban forest working group of the North American Forestry Commission and is a member of the National System of Conahcyt Researchers in Mexico, level 2.
