GONZALEZ LOZANO, MIGUEL

I am a Doctor in Animal Production and Health Sciences from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM. Since 2004 my research scope have on the development and evaluation of strategies to improve performance in farm animals, Welfare and Pain in Domestic Animals and Obstetrics and animal perinatology. I am Tutor of the Master of Science in the Master's and Doctorate program in Animal Production and Health Sciences since 2016 (UNAM) and Tutor of the Doctorate in Biological and Health Sciences, Autonomous Metropolitan University, Xochimilco-Iztapalapa Unit since on September 8, 2014 to Date. For more than 20 years now, my lines of research have allowed me to develop new management strategies for farm animals and make field work easier without neglecting animal welfare. Therefore, I am constantly searching for new technologies and biotechnological developments that help improve performance in farm animals. In total, I have 45 scientific articles in indexed journals such as Meat Science, Theriogenology and the Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, as well as various popular scientific articles. From 2014 to date I was part of the Quality Management System (IMNC-ISO9001-2015) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the UNAM as head of Quality and I am currently an Auditor from 2018 to the date. In addition, since 2015-2024 representative of CICUA for the Center for Teaching, Research and Extension in Swine Production (CEIEPP) of the Committee for the Care and Use of Animals of FMVZ-UNAM. I am currently the technical director of the Center for Teaching, Research and Extension in Swine Production at FMVZ-UNAM.
