My research focuses on plant biotechnology, metabolomics, and bioactive compounds. I investigate medicinal plants, traditional food resources, and other plant-based systems to discover, characterize, and evaluate bioactive metabolites with potential applications in health, food science, and sustainability.
My work integrates plant tissue culture, phytochemical analysis, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and biological evaluation to understand the production, function, and diversity of plant secondary metabolites. I am also interested in the conservation and sustainable use of plant biodiversity, particularly through biotechnological approaches for the propagation of endangered and traditionally utilized species.
Current research interests include plant biotechnology, metabolomics, medicinal plants, functional foods, bioactive compounds, and the valorization of plant-derived resources for health and sustainable development.
