I have a proven track record in leading interinstitutional projects, securing external funding, and mentoring high-level human resources in Master’s and Doctoral programs.
Professor and Researcher with more than 20 years of academic experience at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico, specializing in the sustainable management of agricultural resources. My research focuses on the water-soil-nutrient nexus, with a particular emphasis on developing strategies for efficient fertilizer use and irrigation optimization, in arid, semi-arid climates. I have led projects centered on soil health as a cornerstone of climate resilience, seeking to integrate biological indicators into precision agriculture systems. As an active member of Ibero-American cooperation networks, I am deeply committed to technology transfer and the publication of high-impact science for sustainable development
