My academic history has been widely focused on marine biotechnology, where I have been able to develop two main branches of research: a) Secondary metabolites extraction, using marine bacteria, algae, and sponges as study models, and b) Microbial ecology and bioremediation, monitoring simulated oil spills. My abilities include sampling design, experimental design at the laboratory (continuous and batch cultivation), and mesocosm scale.
